Some Easy Ways to keep the mind healthy
Okay, so now that you know how you are going to keep your body fit and healthy, what are your plans for your mental health? We often forget how important it is to look after the most powerful muscle in the body, the brain. A healthy mind can be the difference in even starting your newfound journey of a healthy lifestyle.
- Have you ever heard of grounding? Not the type you may have experienced as a child when you were naughty. But the type that has you getting closer to nature? Earthing can be explained more in the documentary.
- Mediation is important for everyone: whether you prefer to mediating in the morning to start the day right, or whether you meditate at night to get a good nights sleep, it doesn’t really matter. Just spending time in solitude is key to a healthy mind.
- Having some relaxation time, this could be running a bath, reading a book, resting by the pool. It doesn’t really matter, as long as it is something that keeps you calm and relaxed.
- Stop stressing! I know, I. know it is easier said than done. Stressful job, busy family life, troubles at home. Everyday life can be stressful, but how will it change things if you are worrying – ALL THE TIME- about them? If you answered “nothing” then you are right.
- Keeping a gratitude journal keeps you feeling positive and reminds you why you are happy. Even in tough times, a gratitude journal can help. There is something about putting it down on paper that makes it feel a little more real. I can’t quite explain it, so perhaps it is time to give it a try and see for yourself.
